a nutritional therapist

HI, I'M EMMA,

and functional medicine practitioner who loves to help people thrive. I am trained to take a holistic approach when working with clients and look at food, lifestyle, genetics and the environment, focusing on identifying and addressing the root cause of chronic conditions rather than just treating the symptoms.

I studied for four years at the world-renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition in Richmond and am now a registered nutritional therapist with the governing bodies of BANT (British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine) and CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council). I have also completed the Nutrigenomics Practitioner course with LifeCodeGX and am a qualified Nutrigenomics Practitioner.

I have helped hundreds of clients achieve their long-term goals of good health, and have had experience with gut health, female health, weight loss, autoimmunity, peri/menopause, men’s health and have a personal interest with skin health.

Personally, I have experienced a wide variety of symptoms associated with perimenopause and I have experienced first-hand how debilitating this period of your life can be. This is where food and lifestyle changes (along with some functional testing and a few targeted supplements) can be a game-changer. And I understand that what works for you one month, may not work for you forever!

I am currently based near York, UK and work with clients on-line, both nationally and internationally.

I am married, have 2 children and 1 cat and 1 dog. I love to cook, spend time with friends and family and exercise regularly. Walking, weights and yoga are my favourites!

If you’d like to find out more or talk about how we could work together, why not book a 15- minute FOC discovery call – I’d love to hear from you.

My approach

I have a real fascination for the human body, the gut in particular, and truly believe great health does definitely begin on the inside.

No fad diets and no restrictive eating is necessary, just a tailored and enjoyable food plan, with some targeted supplements (if necessary) to create a sustainable lifestyle to move forward. One-size does not fit all in the world of food and health.
